Terms of use

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ScriptNova you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of all files you upload. You grant ScriptNova a limited licence to process your files solely to produce the transcription you requested. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, illegal material, or sensitive personal data of third parties without their consent.

3. File retention

Uploaded audio and video files are automatically deleted from our storage within 72 hours of upload. Transcript text is retained in your account until you delete it or close your account. You are responsible for saving your own copies.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact support within 7 days of a charge if you believe it is in error.

5. Usage limits

Each plan includes a monthly upload quota. Uploads exceeding the limit are rejected until the next billing cycle. Abuse, automated scraping, or resale of the service is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

6. Service availability

ScriptNova is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free transcriptions. Transcription quality depends on audio clarity and the capabilities of third-party speech recognition providers.

7. Changes to terms

We may update these terms as the product matures. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email if you have one on file.
